Add compatible assets
The compatibility information is used in several important actions in the Self-Service module (i.e., ordering items, upgrading or disconnecting existing ones). This was done to restrain the possible choices of service contracts and assets to only valid combinations.
- Go to Configuration > Administration > Service Contracts.
- Select the service contract. The service contract record opens.
- Select the Compatible Assets tab.
- Click Add Asset. A list of hardware entries opens.
- Select the hardware entry you want to add.
- Click Apply. The hardware is added to the list of compatible hardware for the service.
- To remove services from this list, click the X beside the entry.
