Add compatible assets

The compatibility information is used in several important actions in the Self-Service module (i.e., ordering items, upgrading or disconnecting existing ones). This was done to restrain the possible choices of service contracts and assets to only valid combinations.

  1. Go to Configuration > Administration > Service Contracts.
  2. Select the service contract. The service contract record opens.
  3. Select the Compatible Assets tab.
  4. Click Add Asset. A list of hardware entries opens.
  5. Select the hardware entry you want to add.
  6. Click Apply. The hardware is added to the list of compatible hardware for the service.
  7. To remove services from this list, click the X beside the entry.
